Comparing The Hilton Head Diet And The HCG Concept

By James Hines

Perhaps it is time to lose weight but you are not sure what to do. Many people are facing a similar situation as there are many choices to consider. Two popular options many people face are the HCG and the Hilton Head Diet programs.

The Hilton Head or HH plan works by eating about 1000 calories a day for a six week period. During that time you eat three meals each day plus two snacks, for a total of five meals. This is believed to increase your metabolism and help lose weight. You are eating foods low in fat and high in carbohydrates.

A typical HCG eating plan includes five hundred calories for your daily limit for about 45 days. You will be restricted to eating only food that contains few carbohydrates and a lot of protein. It is vital to take some form of HCG hormone. This may be injections, creams, or liquid, and reduces hunger while burning fat.

The HH and HCG plans can help you lose weight in the short term. However, most people are not interested in short term weight loss and it can be very frustrating. Neither plan is designed to be a permanent lifestyle, as they are both very low in calories. However, there may be a decided advantage to the HCG program.

Effective HCG plans can result in some very fast weight loss. An effective HCG program targets your fat for fuel, and is supposed to spare lean muscle tissue. When followed correctly, it is supposed to raise your metabolism for a significant amount of time after you conclude the program.

If you carefully examine these two plans you will see similarities. However, the HCG program may be more effective than the Hilton Head Diet for losing fat quicker and for better long term results. Make sure to see your doctor before you begin a new diet plan.
