The 3 Pillars of Permanent weight loss

Most people will, in their battle against the bulge, fail. They'll win a few battles perhaps, but they will never win the war. The war is fought against your weight and the reward - permanent weight loss. But why do so many people fail? Well, because they neglect one of the main pillars that needs to be constructed for permanent weight loss.

Now, I'd probably say that 99.99% of people understand the importance of the first pillar - nutrition. A huge percentage will also look at pillar 2 - exercise - as being a crucial component of their weight loss plan. But what about pillar number 3? This pillar is the most important and the one that you need to get right from the start. However, its also the one that people neglect. What is it? Mind-Set...

Lets just quickly examine these 3 pillars.

Pillar 1 - Nutrition

I am sure that you are perfectly aware of the importance of nutrition for weight loss. However, despite what so many people are led to believe, its really not as simple as calories in vs calories out. The two most important things to consider for long term weight loss are sustainability and health. Unless you develop a healthy system you will not be able to lose weight for good, so its important to shift the focus towards health, not simply weight loss, when on a diet.

Pillar 2 - Exercise

Ok, now exercise can be something that takes a back seat to nutrition when it comes to short term weight loss, but this really isn't the case if you want long term results. Exercise is crucial for all sorts of reasons, not least in aiding in the development of a healthy internal system that, as I just mentioned, is essential for permanent weight loss. However, it goes much further than this, with exercising being crucial for hormone manipulation, metabolism, and a host of other things. For long term successful weight loss, these are crucial elements to understand.

Pillar 3 - Mind-Set

The third pillar is the foundation. If this foundation isn't in place then the two following pillars will not be able to stand for long. Your subconscious mind-set will set the direction you take with regards to your weight. If your mind-set isn't 'programmed' properly for long term weight loss success, you'll begin to find that the decisions you make with regard to nutrition and exercise aren't getting you to where you wish to go. Unless you are 'wired' properly on the inside, these negative decisions will eventually derail your weight loss efforts.

The unfortunate thing is that not many people focus on mind-set with regards to weight loss. They just don't understand that this is the crucial, driving factor that will eventually determine whether or not you can actually keep the weight off for good.

Every pillar is essential to your long term success. Its like a chair with 3 legs. If one of the legs breaks then the chair cannot stand up. If the 3 pillars are not set up properly then you will end up failing in the end. So do yourself a favour and focus on mind-set first of all. This is the pillar so often neglected, and the major reason why so many people fail.
